I was born and raised in Louisville, KY. Since I was little I have always been interested in nature and the environment. That stayed with me as I got older and led to me getting my bachelor's degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Wildlife Management. My initial goal once leaving high school was to become a professional photographer, and that is where the other half comes in. I still have a love for photography (though I'm far from a professional) and my favorite subjects are animals and nature. Nature is challenging yet exciting to capture. Challenging because it is difficult to capture the essence of a place, but exciting because new opportunities are always arising, and when you are in the right place at the right time, the images you can capture are simply amazing.
My future plans are to one day become a naturalist or environmental educator. I have a real passion for nature and I think that comes through in my photographs. Above that however, I feel my love and interest in nature is contagious, and I would love to be able to inspire a new generation and get them excited about nature. And with this blog I intend to do exactly that. I want everyone to get excited about nature and know you don't have to go to Yellowstone to find it; nature is in your own backyard, in the parks, and in the forests, fields, and streams of this city. So let's get out there and find it together!
